ABSTRACT
Scooters have emerged as a popular mode of urban
transportation, offering convenience and eco-friendliness.
However, they face several challenges, including safety
concerns, infrastructure, and environmental impact. This
presentation explores these issues and proposes futuristic
solutions to enhance the efficiency, safety, and sustainability
of scooters. By leveraging advanced technologies and
innovative designs, we can transform scooters into a reliable
and integral part of urban mobility.
INTRODUCTION
The HISTORY
•Early 1800s: Karl Drais invents the velocipede, a human-powered two-wheeler that lays the groundwork for both bicycles and

scooters.

•1916: The Autoped, an early motor scooter with a small engine, is patented and achieves commercial success.

•1920s: More companies enter the scooter market, with notable examples like the ABC Skootamota (featuring a seat) and the

Unibus (with a more modern design)

•Mid-1900s: Scooter popularity fluctuates. They're used for various purposes (military bases, movie studios) and see a

resurgence during World War II due to fuel rationing.

•Late 1900s: Honda introduces popular kick scooters. Go-Ped emerges with a well-liked motorized version.

•Today: Electric scooters become a hot topic, offering a convenient and eco-friendly way to travel. Dockless rental services make

them even more accessible.

Current Limitations

Scooters currently face challenges such as safety risks

due to accidents, reliability issues with batteries and
charging infrastructure, and maintenance needs
impacting operational efficiency. Addressing these
issues is critical for improving their usability and
sustainability in urban settings.
METHODOLOGY
Approach to Innovation

•Advancing materials for enhanced durability.

•Developing next-gen battery tech for extended range and
faster charging.
•Smart locking system using IoT devices.
•Extra storage space.
IDT Innovation AND FEATURES

•Advanced safety systems (AI breaking ).

•Self-diagnostic capabilities for predictive maintenance:
•Advancement in the mileage by replacing Lithium-ion battery
which are presently used in E-Scooters.
•Recyclable materials.
•Smart locking system.
• Wireless charging
Future
• In future we can produce magnetic levitation scooters
• Reduce friction: Since there is no physical contract with road
where scooters experience minimal friction, which allows for high
speed.
• Smoother Ride: The lack of friction also translates to a smoother
and quieter ride compared to conventional wheeled scooters.
• Low maintenance: With no moving parts touching the ground,
maglev scooters could require less maintenance due to reduced
wear and tear.
• Biodegradable materials: This could be a sustainable option in
the future (Cork).
•Special magnets on the scooter push against a metal track.
•This push lifts the scooter up, kind of like floating in mid-air (no
wheels touching the ground!).
•Other magnets or special parts in the track push the scooter forward
to make it move.
•We can also
In conclusion, our futuristic scooter concept
represents a significant step forward in urban
mobility innovation. By addressing current
limitations with advanced technologies and user-
centered design, we aim to redefine urban
transportation. With a focus on safety,
sustainability, and enhanced user experience, our
vision is to create a more efficient and enjoyable
commute for city dwellers
