• All educational institutions should have a board or


wall painting on their boundary wall or at the
entrance. The board should state prominently that

“sale of cigarette or any other tobacco products in


an area within the radius of 100 yards of the
educational institution is strictly prohibited; the
offence is punishable with a fine upto Rs. 200”

As per the rules….
 No tobacco product shall be sold unless the package
contains the specified health warning.
 It shall occupy at least EIGHTY FIVE percent (85%) of
the principal display area of the pack and;
 shall be positioned parallel to the top edge of the
package
 in the same direction as the information on the principal
display area.
 The specified Health Warning shall be printed, pasted or
affixed on every retail package.
 No messages that directly or indirectly promote a specific
tobacco brand or tobacco usage in general can be
inscribed on the tobacco product package
