CHARTER
14 articles:-
Article 1
The Member States do hereby establish the Organization of The Islamic Conference
Article 2
Objectives:
-Promote Islamic solidarity -Consolidate cooperation in economic, cultral, scientific etc. -To back the struggle of Muslims: preserve their dignity
Principles:
-total equality between members -respect the right of seldetermination -abstention from the treat aganst teritorial integrity . -respect members socereignity & independence -settlement conflict by peaceful means: negotiation
-Eliminate racial, segregation, discrimination -Coordinate effect of safeguarding the holy place (Palestine)
Article 4
Conference of Kings and Heads is the supreme authority of the organization
Islamic Summit Conference -----convene once every 3 years
-The Islamic Conference shall be convene once a year whenever the need arises
-Extraordinary session may be convene at request state or requesed by Secretary General, if approved by twothird -
-The conference has the right to rec9ommend the Conference of Heads of States
2. The Islamic Conference of foreign Minister shall be held for the following purpose:-
1. Appoint the Secretary General 2. Appoint four assistant of Secretary General on recommendation of Secretary General
-To fix the date & the venue of the coming Conference of Foreign Minister
- To consider any issue member of states, whenever requested, Is made with making an appropriate measure in respect.
