Introduction
 A File Repository can contain folders and files. An online File Repository within a
college institution which allows teachers upload Documents and other file
resources to the repository.
 In order to maintain the security of the network the three major security goals must
be fulfilled that is while sharing a data over a network.
 It should be hidden from any unauthorized access file system repository to make
locating files easier if there are many files available.
 File Repository Systems refers to managing and accessing the documents
electronically. File Repository, also on-demand Repository is a kind of Internet-
based repository provide shared processing resources and data to computers and
other devices on demand.
Literature Survey
 Information accessibility has become easier and can be improved by using web-based
application.
 According to Ninjas B. (2014), the role of file management in improving data access
can be considered in two perspectives namely end-user's perspectives with the main
objective defined as “how to provide end-users with easy and efficient access to
corporate data” and application developers perspective as “how to improve applications
efficiency”, by using web technology.
 Later developers began to write a second type of system which could manage
electronic documents, i.e., all those documents, or files, created on computers, and
often stored on users' local file-systems.
 The earliest electronic document management (EDM) systems managed either
proprietary file types, or a limited number of file formats.
Existing System
 In the existing system any one was able to view and download the file of anyone.
 In existing system No security is available A single history was saved for the project.
 As the Web grows, more and more new general-purpose and domain-specific information
service sassist the user in searching for the relevant data.
 About 85% of web users claim to be using search engines or some kind of search tool to
find specific information of interest (Chidlovskii et. al., 1999).
 This statement encourages the development of File Net because everybody can search
and retrieve the information needed like journals, proceedings and articles on the web.
Proposed System
 The proposed method is to an online File Repository within a college institution which
allows teachers upload Documents and other files resources to the repository.
 In order to maintain the security of the network the three major security goals must be
fulfilled that is while sharing a data over a network it should be hidden from any
unauthorized access (Confidentiality) its protection from unauthorized changes or
manipulation of data (Integrity), and availing the data whenever it is needed
(Availability).
 The web-based application has been chosen to manage all the IS department
research documents.
 Web-based applications are by far the foremost universally accessible.
Requirements
 Software Requirement:
1. Operating System: Window 7.
2. Front End: PHP
3. Back End: MySQL.

 Hardware Requirement:
1. Processor : Intel core i3
2. Ram: 4 GB (min)
3. Hard disk : 64GB
Project DESIGN & ANALYSIS
Diagram: System diagram
Advantages
 Compactness: It is possible to store data compactly.
 Editing
 Sharing
 Higher Security of file
 Well Managed Documents
 The same information not be duplicated in different files
LIMITATIONS

 Requires Internet connection.

APPLICATION
 College Institute
 Hospital
 School
 Government Office
Future scope
 As we can see in previous research there is lots of improvement is needed so
there is lots of future work are there where research can work on it and improve
they result.
 To develop a system which reduce the issue of search files in future the software
can get modified to use more efficiently and reliably and enhancements can be
made since the Web application is built on user friendly language.
CONCLUSION
 The service provided by the proposed system is needed for collage Institute Using
File Repository systems effectively within an organization ensures that data is safe,
accurate, and accessible.
 With that comfort, staff feel more apt to reduce paper and rely on the file repository
system.
 It is one important step to becoming a paperless office.
 The file system repository allows access to files which have been uploaded into
designated folder on the server.
 When a file from the system repository reused elsewhere the staff has option to
make a copy of document.
