Let Us Learn

- A computer system
has three important
elements:
peopleware,
hardware, and
software.
Peopleware
A computer cannot work on its own. It need people to
make it work.
Pupils, teachers, office worker, or any person who uses a
computer are example of peopleware.

Programmers are persons who develop computer


programs
Hardware
Hardware refers to the physical parts of a computer.
These parts enable a computer to do certain tasks.

Hardware includes CPU, monitor, keyboard, and mouse.


Software
Software refers to the programs installed in a computer.

Examples of software are Microsoft Word, Calculator, and


Microsoft Paint.
Software
Software has two types: application software and
system software.
Operating
System
-refers to a program used to make a computer system
work. Microsoft windows 10 is an example of an
operating system.
Utility software
- refers to programs that help examine and adjust the
settings of a computer.
Utility software
- are programs that make hardware devices work properly
into the computer system.
Activity 4
On your notebook, draw and
color at least two examples of the
following elements of a computer
system:
• Peopleware
• Hardware
• Software
