MOBILE
TECHNOLOGY
Mobile technology has rapidly evolved over the past
decade, transitioning from basic telephones to
advanced smartphones. Key trends in this evolution
include:
1. 5G Adoption
2. Progressive Web Applications
(PWAs)
3. Mobile Payments
4. Mobile Commerce (m-Commerce)
5. Wearables
6. Foldable Devices
7. Mobile Virtual Reality
8. Mobile Augmented Reality
9. Beacon Technology
WEARABLE
The typical smartphone user checks their device 150
times a day for tasks including social media (13 times),
music streaming (22 times), phone calls (22 times), and
messaging (23 times).
Technology could perform many of these tasks more
effectively if they were physically. Incorporated into
our bodies or worn on them. Wearable technology is
what it is called. Technology like hearing aids and
later Bluetooth earpieces have been part of wearables
for a long time. Smartwatches, body cameras, sports
watches, and various fitness monitors are now included
MOBILE
SMARTPHONE
Mobile technology, particularly smartphones and
wearables, has made it easier to share data for mutual
benefit. Users can passively share information, like
location data for traffic updates, or actively contribute
by adding reviews to platforms like Yelp! And Waze.
Waze utilizes real-time data from users to provide
traffic and routing information, while Yelp! Allows users
to rate and review local establishments, helping
customers find businesses and contributing to their
success. This community-driven data exchange
enhances user experience and business visibility.

FINDABLE
The Internet of Things (IoT) refers to devices
integrated into various items, connecting to the
internet via Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or LTE, enabling data
exchange.
Key Characteristics IoT Applications

Benefits Security Concerns

1. Improved procedures 1. Eavesdropping

2. Component surveillance
2. Unauthorized access
3. Enhanced security
3. Careless owner use
4. Energy efficiency (default passwords)

5. Remote control capabilities 4. Data breaches

CLOUD
COMPUTING
The practice of using a network of remote servers
hosted on the internet to store, manage, and process
data, rather than a local server or a personal computer.

BLOCKCHAIN
A system in which a record of transactions, especially
those made in a cryptocurrency, is maintained across
computers that are linked in a peer-to-peer network.
BIG DATA
Refers to extremely large and diverse collections of structured,
unstructured, and semi-structured data that continues to grow
exponentially over time. These datasets are so huge and
complex in volume, velocity, and variety, that traditional data
management systems cannot store, process, and analyze them.

The three main components of big data are:

1. Volume: The large amount of data.

2. Velocity: The speed at which data is generated

and processed .

3. Variety: The different types of data that can be

processed, including structured, semi-structured,
and unstructured data .
USE OF DRONES
TECHNOLOGY
According to the Cambridge English
Dictionary, a drone is a small,
pilotless aircraft that is controlled
from the ground or can fly
autonomously. Drones are also known
as unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
QUANTUM
COMPUTING
According to Information Technology trends 2019, the
newest generation of computers will be quantum
computers. They are currently actively growing and will
greatly outpace their ancestors. A brand-new method
of sending and processing data based on the principles
of quantum physics is known as quantum computing.
Unlike traditional computers that store information in
bits, which can be either 0 or 1, quantum computers
use qubits. Qubits can represent not only 0 or 1 but
also a superposition of both states simultaneously. This
allows quantum computers to perform calculations that
CYBERSECURITY AND
ARTIFICIAL
INTELLIGENCE
Cybersecurity is increasingly essential for daily life and
business, yet it is becoming harder to manage due to
sophisticated threats. IT professionals find it
challenging to address these cybersecurity threats
effectively. The integration of AI is crucial for
enhancing data analytics and automation, as
traditional methods are no longer enough. Ethical
considerations are important since human involvement
is still needed in cybersecurity. Additionally, AI itself is
vulnerable to cyberattacks, highlighting the need for AI
and Deep Learning strategies to be more resistant to
VIRTUAL REALITY
Virtual reality (VR) is a simulated experience that
employs pose tracking and 3D near-eye displays
to give the user an immersive feel of a virtual
world. Virtual reality is a simulated 3D
environment that enables users to explore and
interact with a virtual surrounding in a way that
approximates reality, as it is perceived through
the users’ senses.
