■ Created by a professor at Cornell University


(USA) in 1950s.
■ Draw lines on paper.
■ Cue Column: 2.5 inches wide & 9 inches long.

■ Take notes on right-hand side of page leaving


space on left & summarize main point with a
cue word or phase.
■ Concise & brief; abbreviations & mnemonics
■ Put a date on your page
■ After class, use summary section to write out
the main points included on each page.
