•Tell time using various formats
•Arrange sentences to describe daily routines with
accurate time expressions.

•O’clock – Used for exact hours.
•Example: It’s 6 o’clock.

•Half Past – Refers to 30 minutes past the hour.


•Example: It’s half past 3. (3:30) >> three thirty

•Quarter Past – Refers to 15 minutes past the


hour.
•Example: It’s a quarter past 8. (8:15) >> eight
fifteen

•Quarter To – Refers to 15 minutes before the


next hour.
•Example: It’s a quarter to 5. (4:45) >> four forty
five

•AM/PM – Used to specify whether the time is


before or after noon.
•Example: It’s 2 PM. Or 2AM
Daily Activities/Routines happen
regularly (e.g., every day, every
morning), so the present simple is
the appropriate tense to describe
them.

• I wake up at 6:00 AM.


• She goes to bed at 10 PM.
• They have breakfast at 7:30 every morning.
Examples of common daily activities:
Wake up: I wake up at 6:00 AM.

Get dressed: I get dressed at half past six.

Eat breakfast: I eat breakfast at 7 o’clock.

Go to work: I leave for work at a quarter to eight.

Have lunch: I have lunch at 12 noon.

Go home: I go home at 5 PM.

Exercise: I exercise at a quarter past six.

Have dinner: I have dinner at half past seven

Go to bed: I go to bed at 10 o’clock.


Common Time Connectors:
In the morning: I exercise in the morning.

In the afternoon: I have a meeting in the afternoon.

In the evening: I watch TV in the evening.

At night: I go to bed at 10 o’clock at night.

Edy's Daily Routine
Edy is 30 years old. He wakes up at 7:00 AM. First, he makes coffee
and drinks it while reading the news. At 7:30 AM, he eats breakfast,
like toast or cereal. At 8:30 AM, Edy starts his work from home.

Edy stops working for lunch at 12:00 PM. He eats a sandwich or a


salad. After lunch, he works again until 5:00 PM. Then, he goes to the
gym to exercise for an hour.

Edy comes home at 6:30 PM. He watches TV or a movie to relax. He


eats dinner at 7:30 PM. After dinner, he sometimes reads or talks to a
friend. Edy gets ready for bed at 9:00 PM and goes to sleep at 10:30
PM.
