INTRODUCTION
Nowadays, there is an increase in the number of
accidents that happen in the world. As the
population is increasing, there is the number of cars
increasing on the road that contributes to severe
accidents that happen daily. Around 80 per cent of
accidents contribute to the loss of many lives.
Mostly, the growing countries are being targeted by
the day to day road accidents. The major reason is
the lack of infrastructure, lack of traffic control and
accident management. Out of all the developing
countries, India has been listed as the country with
a higher number of accidents . The most prominent
reason for the loss of a life during an accident is the
ABSTRACT:
The fastest growth of technology has made our
lifestyle Comfort. The technology also increased the
traffic risks and the road accidents take place
frequently which causes huge loss of life because
inadequate of emergency facility our project wi ll help
this displacement. The project concludes when a vehicle
meets with an accident, the vibration and IR sensor
will analyze the signal and this signal to Arduino. The
notification is sent through GSM module the location
of the accident is gathered with the help of GPS
module, to notify police control room or a rescue
team. So, the police or rescue team can immediately
trace the location through the GPS Module, after
receiving the information. Then after confirming the
location necessary action will be taken And Video of
the accident can be live streamed or can be stored
with the help of camera. The aim of this work is to
automatically detect an accident and alert the rescue
team or control station.

ARDUINO CONTROLLER
Arduino UNO is a microcontrollerboard
based on the ATmega328P. Ithas 14
digital input/output pins (ofwhich 6 can
be used as PWM outputs),6 analog
inputs, a 16 MHz ceramicresonator, a
USB connection, a powerjack, an ICSP
header and a resetbutton. It contains
everything neededto support the
microcontroller; simplyconnect it to a
computer with a USBcable or power it
with a AC-to-DCadapter or battery to
get started. TheATmega328P can easily
be replaced,as it is not soldered to the
board. TheATmega328P also features
1kb ofEEPROM, a memory which is
noterased when powered off.
GSM MODULE
A GSM module is a device that allows electronicdevices to
communicate with each other over the GSMnetwork. GSM is
a standard for digital cellularcommunications, which means
that it provides aplatform for mobile devices to communicate
with eachother wirelessly. The GSM module is a
specializeddevice that enables a device to send and receive
dataover the GSM network.

GPS MODULE
  GPS (Global Positioning System) is a satellite-
basednavigation system. It provides time and
location-basedinformation to a GPS receiver, located
anywhere on ornear the earth's surface. GPS works in
all weatherconditions. It’s operating voltage is 3v to
5v.

FUTURE SCOPE
The proposed system deals with the detection of the accidents. But this
can be extended by providing medication to the victims at the accident
spot. By increasing the technology we can also avoid accidents by
providing alerts systems that can stop the vehicle to overcome the
accidents.

CONCLUSION
 Accident detection and alert systems can be a valuable tool for improving road safety
and reducing the number of accidents:
 Improved response time: Accident detection systems can provide emergency
services with accurate location information and automated alerts quickly.
 Cost-effective: These systems can help reduce the overall costs associated with
accidents.
 Save lives: Accident detection systems can help save lives by improving safety for
drivers, passengers, and pedestrians.
 Real-time data analysis: IoT-based systems can use real-time data analysis to
minimize the aftermath of accidents.
