Think & Apply: Individual Assignment

Based on these 10 key Excel features, write a summary (NOT the

scenario summary) to describe how you build your Excel spreadsheet.

Do tell us…(briefly)
 what Excel features you used
 how did you make them work
 why using Excel can help enhance the efficiency of the budget
planning

Submission guidelines

• Submission deadlines (avoid last minute submission):

• Group assignment: 23 Nov 2023, 3.00 pm
• Individual assignment: 14 Dec 2023, 3.00 pm
• File names and file formats:
• Group assignment: CIB_Group1.docx file format, with a simple cover page
• Individual assignment: CIB_2012345.xlsx file format, with a simple cover worksheet
• File size: not more than 250 MB
• Only ONE file per submission (check for the similarity rate before the deadline)
• Technical difficulties encountered by students very close to the deadline time will not be
accepted as a reason for approving ECs for lateness.
• Only Coursework submitted on Moodle will be marked (no hardcopy is needed).
• A deduction of 5% off the mark achieved shall be imposed upon the expiry of the deadline and
an additional 5% per subsequent 24-hour period until the mark reaches zero.
• Make sure that your file has been submitted successfully
Group presentation

• Presentation venue: Wonder Lab, The Library, 2F

• Attire: smart casual
• Duration: 10 + 5 minutes
• Please come 10 minutes earlier.
• No need to submit your presentation slides
• Bring along your laptop and the presentation slides (with backup devices and copies)
• All students must attend, but each group gets to choose who to present and hand the Q&A.
• The 1-hour presentation timeslot (chosen by your group) will replace the ”group presentation”
class on your timetable (you can ignore that class time)
• You can present the key points in your essay (except the reflection part)
• Be creative and speak naturally (you can prepare some hand notes)
• Focus on your presentation skills NOT the essay content
Thank you very
much

best wishes
