Cross-connect Unit
• The capacity of XCS board is 128 x 128 VC-4.
• 96 x 96 VC-4 Level and 32 x 32 VC-4 lower level cross
connection.
• The board is able to implement the any cross-connection
at the VC-4/VC-3/VC-12 level between the IUs.
• The board keeps communications with the NMS, collects
and reports the alarms & performance events. In
addition, it interprets and processes the commands
issued from the NMS
• Generates the Clock signal (internal clock)
