Configuring Wireless Router

Router
is a device that receives and sends data on computer networks. Routers
are sometimes confused with network hubs, modems, or network
switches. However, routers can combine the functions of these
components, and connect with these devices, to improve Internet
access or help create business networks. It also guide and direct
network data, using packets that contain various kinds of data—such
as files, communications, and simple transmissions like web
interactions.

hubs, allowing multiple devices to connect to a
network, whether it's a home network, a business
network, or even the internet. This allows devices
like computers, smartphones, tablets, and smart

a. Access the router configuration by typing the router
IP address on the web browser.
b. If you are using the TPlink router, the default IP address of
the router is 192.168.0.1 or just look at the back of the router
to see the default IP address

c. Type the IP address on the web address to open the router


configuration.

d. Log in using the default username and password of the


router. In this example the username of tp-link router is
“admin” and “admin” as the password.

e. Click on the “Network”

f. Under the Network setup find connection type and


select Static IP.

g. You can now change the IP address of the router


then click Ok and save.

a.Type the IP address on the web address to open the router
configuration.

b. Log in using the default username and password of the router. In


this example the username of tp-link router is “admin” and “admin”

d. Under the Basic Setting, Find the Wireless Network
Name or SSID.
e. Change the SSID whatever name do you want Make sure
to enable SSID Broadcast.
f. Make sure to enable SSID Broadcast.
g. Go to Wireless Security make sure you choose
WPA/WPA2 [AES] by default.
