ABOUT US
Working with slides involves a variety of tasks, such as:
Adding slides: You can add slides to a presentation by selecting a slide to follow,
then selecting New Slide in the Slides section of the Home tab.
Applying slide layouts: You can apply a slide layout to a slide by selecting the
slide, then selecting Home > Layout. You can also customize a slide layout in Slide
Master view, then apply it to slides in Normal view.
Playing slide shows: Slide shows start with the first slide by default, but you can
manually advance to the next slide or play the show from the current slide.
WORKING WITH SLIDES
Playing a slide show is the way to give a
presentation. And you can apply slide transition
effects in a presentation.
Playing a slide show takes up the full computer
screen. You can see how your graphics,
animated elements, and transition effects look
in the actual show. You can use the arrow keys
to control slides in the slide show.
INSERTING DUPLICATE
SLIDE
To insert a duplicate slide in PowerPoint,
you can:
Select the slide thumbnail you want to
duplicate in the left pane.
Right-click or Ctrl+click the slide.
Select Duplicate Slide from the menu.
INSERTING NEW SLIDE
To insert a new slide in Microsoft PowerPoint,
you can do the following:
Select the slide that your new slide will follow in
the slide thumbnail pane on the left.
Click New Slide in the Home or Insert tab.
Select a layout for your new slide from the New
Slide dialog box.
Click Add Slide .
SLIDE LAYOUT
To insert a slide layout in
PowerPoint, you can do the
following:
Select the Home tab.
Click Layout.
Choose a layout from the gallery.
COPYING SLIDE
To copy a slide in Microsoft PowerPoint,
you can:
Select the slide you want to copy in the
thumbnail pane on the left.
Press Ctrl+C on your keyboard.
Go to where you want to paste the slide in
the thumbnail pane.
Press Ctrl+P on your keyboard .
MOVING SLIDE
To move a slide in PowerPoint, you
can:
Click the thumbnail of the slide you
want to move in the pane on the left.
Hold down the left mouse button or
trackpad button .
Drag the slide to its new location.
DELETING SLIDE
To delete a slide in PowerPoint, you
can:
Select the slide you want to delete .
Right-click and select Delete Slide .
Alternatively, you can press Delete
or Backspace on your keyboard.
RENAMING SLIDES
To rename a slide in Microsoft
PowerPoint, you can do the
following:
Right-click on the slide in the work
area.
Select Slide.
Select Rename Slide from the
CONTROLLING THE SIZE
OF VIEW
To control the size of the view using the Zoom &
View Layout dialog box, follow these steps:
Click on the View menu and select the Zoom
option.
Zoom & View Layout dialog box opens.
Enter the value in Variable box to increase the
size of the view.
Click on OK.
NORMAL VIEW OF
SLIDE
In Microsoft PowerPoint, Normal view is the default
editing mode for creating and editing slides. It’s the
main view where you’ll spend most of your time
working on your presentation.
In Normal view, you’ll see:
Slide thumbnails: On the left side of the screen.
Current slide: In a large window on the right side
of the screen.
Speaker notes: In a section below the current
slide .
OUTLINE VIEW OF SLIDE
Outline view is a feature in PowerPoint that
displays a presentation as an outline of the titles
and main text from each slide. It’s a useful tool for
organizing and structuring a presentation, and can
help you:
Create a presentation from a Word document
Save as a Word document
Edit slides
Review structure
SORTER VIEW OF SLIDE
Slide Sorter view Slide Sorter view gives
you a view of your slides in thumbnail
form. This view makes it easy for you to
sort and organize the sequence of your
slides as you create your presentation,
and then also as you prepare your
presentation for printing.
