Semiconductor Industry -

 As we know day by day almost every product have at least one


electronic component .And to make the device
portable ,wireless , High Speed performance, less power
consumption as per our need we need electronic device
integrated with electrical components . So semiconductor
industry is more popular or we can say its our need to explore
more towards this industry.

 Gordon Moore famous scientist states that “Moore's law is the


observation that the number of transistors in an integrated circuit (IC)
doubles about every two years” .
Above statement becomes true & Now year by year Transistor scaling
makes us to integrate more number of transistor in per mm^2

B.TECH -------------- Gap------------------------------- Semiconductor Industry

There is Gap in theoretical & Practical knowledge b/w Academic & Industry
which makes difficult to enter into industry like Practical Issue Handling ,
Tool awareness, failure of theoretical Knowledge etc..

To reduce this Gap we are proposing VLSI industry oriented Training


Program which makes Engineer to applicable for industry & Provide proper
assistance to every engineer to enhance skill & use Btech study in
handling practical issue..

About the Program
Semiconductor Industry is one of the leading Growing sector in world . As we know
Almost most of the Daily application product have at least one electronic component
integrated . To Build this VLSI Design Process is more common used in industry . As Per
Moore's law “Number of Transistor in a chip double in every two Year” which we
observed becomes true & able to do more functionality in same area as we are moving
towards advanced Technology , we can observed even through Mobile/Smartphone now
you can able to do anything which is previously not & we have to use Laptop/PC & other
devices to do those task. But With Growing Technology VLSI Design Complexity is more
Challenging.

Our Aim is to Reduce Gap Between Academic & Industry Requirement under the
Marginal Fee .
And we should Trained Engineer as per industry requirement under the Guidance of
Industry Expert People . Also we will trained the people in Industry tool like
ICC/ICCII/Fusion-Compiler/DC/Prime Time from Synopsys or Innovus/Genus from
Cadence.
Also At the end we will interact with Close to Real Project to get the understanding on
Challenge & How to handle the Situation as we learnt during the course So that we can
correlate our theory with real experience & will help in Placement Guidance as well as

COURSE STRUCTURE
Module1 (Duration-1.5 month)
Understanding in Industrial VLSI Design Flow & awareness
about the Industry .
Basic CMOS theory & Its application including fabrication
Steps.
Basic Logical Synthesis/Physical Aware Synthesis & Its
Optimization to achieve best PPA.
Basic STA understanding like setup/Hold Calculation , including
All SDC Constraint like clock definition , IO Delays, Max
transition/Max Cap/Max Fanout , exception like multicycle
path /false path/disable_timing path etc.
COURSE STRUCTURE
Module2 (Duration-2 month)
 Floorplan –
a. Decide Die/Core Size Calculation (Called Area Planning).
b. Memory/Hard Macro location Planning.
c. Power Network Planning.
d. Pad Placement or IO port placement Planning.
e. Basic Bump Planning awareness.
 Placement –
a. All the Placement Stage like coarse placement , legalization,
optimization understanding.
b. Placement Signoff Quality checks & fixes.

Module2 (Duration-2 month)
Clock Tree Synthesis (CTS) –
a. Clock Tree Planning .
b. Min/Max/Avg Latency & Global/Local Skew Understanding.
c. Latency/Skew Optimization.
d. Various Clock Tree Methodologies like Conventional Tree ,H-Tree ,
MultiPoint Tree
Route Stage –
a. All the Stage like Global Routing , Track Assignment, Detail Route ,
optimization understanding.
Internal Assessment Test & respective Mock Interview for Performance
study.
COURSE STRUCTURE
Module3 (Duration-1.5 month)
 Demo Project like real project from Floorplan to Route Stage
TCL/Perl/Shell Scripting Study & Practice in Real Project.

Module4 (Duration-1month)
 Basic Awareness in STA Signoff for Tapeout.
 Basic Awareness in Physical Verification Signoff for Tapeout.
 Formality/LEC Checks awareness .
 Low Power Checks.
 Mock Interview & written Test for Placement Assistance.
COURSE TIMING
 Weekend Classes from Industry Expert (Duration – 8hr)
Sat & Sunday from 11.00 am to 1.00 pm & 3.00 pm to 5.00
pm.
 Tuesday to Friday is for Internal Study & Task assessment ,
Doubt Clearance with the help of Teacher Present in Institute.
 Monday is Holiday.
 Special Classes Might be in Monday too.
ELIGIBILITY
 Final Year or Passed out B.TECH Students in EE, ECE, EEE
Stream with at least 65% mark.
 First Division in Matriculation & Intermediate in Science Exam
in any board.
 MTECH in VLSI & Relevant Electrical/Electronic Subject is also
Preferred.
ADMISSION
All the Candidates Who have Met the Eligibility Criterion can
Join the course by visiting the Institute Directly & Paid the
Admission Fee in Online/Offline Mode.
 Also Can take through Call in Institute directly & Share the
Paid Admission Fee Transaction ID through email.
 Admission can be confirmed once Admission Fee Transaction
verified & also all the relevant document for Eligibility
verification.
WANT TO LEFT COURSE IN MIDDLE ?
No fees under any circumstances, shall be refunded in the
event of a student who have started the course or
discontinuing the course in between.
No certificate shall be issued for the classes attended.
 Student who paid the fee can join the course in Next Ongoing
batch if they do not want to continue in current Ongoing Batch
due to any circumstances.
