PC OPERATIONS NC II

COMPETENCY ASSESSMENT
PURPOSE OF STATEMENT

• To offi cially identify a person's level of qualification

• To recruit a person for a particular job or position

• To identify training needs of employees

• To determine whether individuals have the required competency for a

corresponding level of performance

• To provide feedback to trainees over a period of learning and to modify the way

in which a training program delivered to best suit the needs of trainees


COURSE DESCRIPTION

• The course is designed to enhance the knowledge, desirable attitudes

and skills of a PV Systems installation technician in accordance with

industry standards. It covers core competencies such as: perform site

assessment, check PV components and materials’ compliance, install

and commission PV system and prepare documentation requirements

for PV systems installation.


• It also includes competencies in workplace communication; work in a

team environment, practice career professionalism, practice

occupational health and safety, prepare construction materials and

tools, perform mensuration and calculation, maintain tools and

equipment, observe procedures, specifications and manuals of

instructions and interpret technical drawings and plans.

ASSESSMENT PROCEDURES

Outline the assessment process for PC Operation NCII,

including the tasks, evidence collection methods, and

criteria.

Ensure consistency and fairness in the assessment

process.
ISSUANCE OF NATIONAL CERTIFICATE (NCII)

•Candidates must demonstrate competency against all

assessment criteria.

•AC Manager shall inform you where you can get your

NC or COC

•Five working days after the assessment


CONFIDENTIALITY OF ASSESSMENT OUTCOMES

The assessment result will only be available to the

right personnel and into the institution where you had

undergone the training in relation to this assessment.

SAFETY CONSIDERATIONS:

o Prioritize the safety of both trainers and candidates during assessments.

o Conduct risk assessments for all tasks and ensure appropriate safety

equipment is available.

o Develop clear safety protocols and procedures for all assessment

activities.

o Example: Ensure candidates wear appropriate personal protective

equipment (PPE), such as safety glasses, gloves, and insulated tools.
