PROBLEM STATEMENT 1
A experimental study to assess the
effectiveness of meditation in relieving stress among Board appearing students of selected schools of Lucknow. Objectives-
1) To assess the level of stress among the
students 2) To evaluate the students effectiveness of meditation among students 3) To find association between level of stress among students and its selected demographic variables Hypothesis-
H1- There will be significant difference between pre test and
post test score regarding effectiveness of meditation on stress among the students of selected schools of Lucknow at 0.05 level of significance
H2- There will be significant association between level of stress
and selected demographic variables like age no. of siblings, family income at 0.05 level of significance ASSUMPTIONS
1.)Most of the student may be experiencing stress
related to studies. 2.) Few students may be doing meditation for relieving stress 3.) meditation may prove to be effective in releiving stress among students. Operational Definition
1. Assess- In this study assess refers to evaluate the effect of
meditation on releiving stress among students of selected schools in lucknow.
2.Effectiveness- In this study Effectiveness refers to the
ability to produce desired outcome after providing meditation to the students of selected schools in lucknow.
3.Meditation- In the study meditation refers to a technique
to reduce stress among the students. contd.
4.Stress-In the study It is a non specific response of the
body to any kind of demand made upon it.
5 Board Exam- In the study it refers to the public
examinations that are conducted at the complition of secondary and senior secondary education.
6. Students:In the study It refers to the individual formally
engaged in learning ,especially one enrolled in school or colleges. Delimitations
1. Medication is affective in morning

1. To assess the knowledge regarding substance abuse
among adolescent boys before intervention 2. To assess the effectiveness of planned teaching program on knowledge regarding substance abuse among adolescent boys after intervention. 3. To determine the association between knowledge regarding substance abuse among adolescent boys with their selected demographic variables Hypothesis
H1- There will be significant difference between pre and
post level of knowledge regarding substance abuse among adolescent boys in selected urban areas.
H2- There will be significant association between level of
knowledge regarding substance abuse among adolescent boys with there demographic variable at 0.05 level of significance. Assumption
1. Boys from science streams may posses some
knowledge regarding substance abuse
2. Planned teaching program will improve the level
of knowledge regarding substance abuse Operational definition
1. Assess- in this study the term assess refers to determine knowledge
regarding substance abuse among adolescent boys in selected urban areas 2. Effectiveness- in this it refers to the ability to attain desired outcome after providing planned teaching program to the adolescent boys regarding substance abuse(drugs). 3. Planned teaching program- In this study it refers to the systematically designed educational program implemented by using different types of demonstration methods among the adolescent boys about the substance abuse (drugs) in selected urban areas. contd.
1. Knowledge- In this study it refers to formal
understanding about the substance abuse (drugs) 2. Substance abuse- It refers to the excessive use of drug in a way that is determental to self, society or both 3. Adolescent boys- In the study it refers to males in gender,age group 10-19yrs who have predominantly reached masculine biological characterstics. Delimitations
1. Theboys in the school areas those who

A comparative study to assess the behavioural
problems among pre school children of working and domestic mother in selected primary schools at lucknow Objectives
1. To assess the behavioural problems among pre school
children of working mothers in selected primary school 2. To assess the behavioural problems among pre school children of domestic mothers in selected primary school 3. To compare the behavioural problems among pre school children of domestic and working mothers. 4. To associate the behavioural problems among pre school children of domestic and working mother with their selected demographic variables. Hypothesis
H1- there will be a significant difference in behavioural pattern
among the pre school children of domestic and working mothers. H2- there will be a significant association between the behavioural pattern of a pre school children of domestic mothers and the selected demographic variables at 0.05 level of significance. H3- there will be a significant association between the behavioural pattern of a pre school children of working mother and the selected demographic variables. Assumption
1. Behavioural pattern of children of working mother and domestic mother will differ.
2. Mostof the mother’s must have obsereved
the change in the behaviour of their child. Operational definition
1. Behavioural pattern- it refers to the activity of children such as
obidience, friendliness, mingling with others,exploring, independent making choice. 2. Primary school children- in the study it refers to the age group from 6 to 14 years who intially enter the stage of industry vs inferiority of erik erikson’s 3. Domestic mothers- it refers to the mothers who stay at home to take care of children and manage the household activites. 4. Working mothers- it refers to the mothers who work outside and contribute in the expenditure of the house. Delimitation
1. The study is only limited to only primary
school children. 2. Availiability of working mothers.
