Ronaldinho
Ronaldinho, whose full name is Ronaldo de Assis
Moreira, is a retired Brazilian footballer known for
his incredible skill and style on the pitch. Born on
21 March 1980 in Porto Alegre, Brazil, he played
primarily as an attacking midfielder or winger. 12

Ronaldinho was recognized for his creativity,


dribbling ability and free-kick prowess. He won
numerous titles during his career, including the FIFA
World Cup with Brazil in 2002, the UEFA Champions
League with FC Barcelona and the Copa
Libertadores with Atlético Mineiro. He also received
individual accolades such as the FIFA World Player
of the Year award in 2004 and 2005.

Ronaldinho began to show his footballing talent
at a very young age. He was born into a family
passionate about football; his father, João, was
a footballer and worked in a shipyard to support
the family1. His older brother, Roberto Assis,
was also a professional footballer and had a
major influence on his development2.

From a young age, Ronaldinho played in youth


teams and quickly stood out for his skill and
creativity on the pitch. At 13, he caught the
attention of the media by scoring all the goals in
a 23-0 victory against a local team3. This
actioned was an early indication of his
incredible talent.

Ronaldinho was known for his exceptional dribbling ability. He could
maneuver the ball with such finesse that it often looked like it was
glued to his feet. His famous **elastic** move (spin) left many
defenders baffled.

had a unique ability to bend the ball around walls and into the top
