• A frog is an amphibian which means that
it does not have a backbone. Frogs live
part of their life in water and part on land.
Amphibians are cold blooded creatures,
this means their body temperature is the
same as the environment.

• Frogs are able to absorb water into their
skin. This means they do not have to drink
water to survive.
• Frogs have strong hind legs which is why
they can hop very far.

• Frogs eat other animals such as bugs and
worms. Frogs sit still and wait for the bugs
to fly by. Then it sticks its long tongue out
and eats them.

Tadpoles live in the water and
breathe through gills like a fish.
After 4 weeks the gills will
become covered by skin.
Tadpoles eat algae for now.
