Area and

Circumference
Presented by Group 5
Area

● What is an Area of a Circle?

- Area of a circle is the region of

occupied by the circle in a two-

dimensional plane.
Area

Example:

Formula: A = π x r2
cm
A = π x 142
A = π x 196
A = 3.14 x 196
A = 615.44 cm2
Area

Example:

Formula: A = π x r2
r = 13 ÷ 2 cm
r = 6.5
A = π x 6.5 2
A = 3.14 x 42.25
A = 132.665cm 2
Circumference

● What is a Circumference of a Circle?

- The measurement of
the boundary of the
circle.
Circumference

Example:

Formula: C = 2 π r cm

C= 2π5
C = 2 x 3.14 x 5
C = 31.4 cm
Circumference

C=2πr
r=9÷2
r = 4.5 9m

C = 2 π 4.5
C = 2 x 3.14 x 4.5
C = 28.26m
Thank you!
