What is PowerPoint?
Presentation software that allows you to create slides,
handouts, notes, and outlines. Slide shows can include
text, graphics, video, animation, sound and much more.

MS-PowerPoint is most common example of


presentation program which is developed by Microsoft.
It is a GUI based software.

Slide- A slide is a single screen that contains information


that the presenter want to show.

Presentation file- all the power point slides for a


particular presentation are kept. .ppt extension is used

Master Slide- The master slide is the design template


which is used for slides without your presentation.

 The “ribbon” which is a device that presents commands


organized into a set of tabs. Example below is the Home ribbon.

 In PowerPoint, to view the presentation of slides

 Normal View- is the main editing view, where we


can write and design presentations.
 Slide Sorter View- We can see more slide at one
time. This view is used to conform that we have all
needed slides and that none of them has been deleted.

Notes Pages View- This view shows a smaller version of


the slide with an area below for printed notes. These
Notes appear on a printout but do not appear on the
screen during the presentations.

Slide Show View-In this view, the computer screen is completely filled
by a single slide. We can’t make any changes during this view.
