Topic: Natural Disaster

INTRODUCTION
Natural disasters are:
- Earthquake
- Tsunami
- Heat waves
- lightening
- Wildfire
- Floods etc

The flood is considered to be the most


dangerous of all disasters which is
usually caused by rain, heavy
thunderstorms, and thawing of snow.
Causes of Change in Enviroment
Human activities are impacting the causes of change in
environment which is the biggest crises facing by the humanity.
The major causes of change in environment/ climate changes
are:

- Burning fossil fuels


- Deforestation
- Building development in cities
Impact of Human Activities for causing
Natural
Now Disasters
a days the change in environment is main causes of flood.
And day to day developments have proved to be increasing the
probability of floods. Some of the activities that have a large
impact are:

- Land use activities such as urbanization and poor urban


planning.
- Inadequate drainage facilities
- Glaciers melting due to human pollution and climate change
cause flood.
Ways to improve the quality of Global
Enviroment
There are many ways to improve the quality of global
environment and by improving the quality of global environment
we can reduce the impact of natural disasters. Some important
ways are as below:

- Stop Pollution.
- Remember to recycle things.
- Stop global warming.
- Promote plantation.
- Use electric cars.
Role of National Disaster Management
Authority
The functions and duties of National disaster management
authority are:

- To coordinate and monitor for disaster management in very


limited time.
- To provide necessary technical assistance to public and
government in managing the disaster response.
- To Train public for prevention of possible
threats.
Conclusion

There are so many possibilities of Natural disasters and


among these disasters the floods are vey dangerous.
The main causes of natural disaster are frequent harm
to the climate and green house effect. We should work
together to make the climate condition better so that
the we may prevent the disasters. The National disaster
management authority can play a very important role
for guidance and measures if any disaster occurs.
