What is Eid?
Eid-ul-fitr is a significant holiday in the Islamic
calendar. It’s a time when muslims come togather to
celebrate the end of Ramadan. During Eid, people
gather for special prayers at the mosque, exchange
gifts, and share meals with family and friends. It’s also
a time for muslims to express their devotion to their
faith and strengthen their bonds with the community.
What is ramadan?
Ramadan is month in the islamic calendar dedicated to fasting from
sunrise to sunset as an act of worship and self-discipline. During
Ramadan, muslims focus on prayer, reflection, and acts of charity. It is
also a time of increased devotion , reading the Quran and spending
time with family and friends. The fast is broken each day with a meal
called iftar , which is shared with loved ones.

Eid is only one day: Eid is celebrated for three

charity that Muslims give to help those in need. It is physically
calculated as a percentage of a person’s wealth and is given to
the less fortunate in the community. Zakaat serves as a means of
purifying one’s wealth and promoting social welfare.
