Background of the heist
• In summer of 2007 he got a new position at the security agency G4S
• Within a week billions of crowns from all kinds of bussineses and
shops were collected at their branches the employees the
recalculated them and sent them to banks or ATMs during during on
weekdays the G4S department in Prague 3 on Českobratrská street
was teeming with people, the safe was guarded by three keymen, and
there was constant rotation of cars and deliveries, but on weekend it
was different
• the building was conspicuously empty
• On Saturday, December 1 of 2007 only three people were moving
around in the area an operation worker, a doorman and František
Procházka.
• Procházka had only four months in the company and 26 shifts worked,
due to a lack of staff and decent results he was the one who got
Saturday 12-hour shift as a keymen
Start of the heist
• 6:30AM he visited the dispatcher and brought him a coffee.(Maybe he
wanted to see which cameras he was currently watcing)
• 6:45AM he informed the doormen that a van would arrive before 9AM.
• 7:00AM Procházka started his shift
• 7:10AM he taped the camera near the safe, but he didn’t quite succeed
and a little bit of space wasn’t covered
• 7:17 he opened the sealed suitcases,he put the in bags and loaded
them onto the trolley, then emptied suitcases filled with fake seals
• The rest of the CCTV cameras left alone
• 8:55AM the van arrived, it looked like a company vehicle and the doorman
let in. The white Volkswagen Transporter is covered with company stickers
and you would have hard time distinguishing it from the real G4S transmit.
• If its Liberec plate was carefully checked by the doormen, he would find
that the car is not listed in company cars.
• Then Procházka filled the car with the bags and in just 4 minutes white van
left the G4S
• Then Procházka returned to the safe and sat on the chair for the rest of his
10-hour shift

• At 10:00AM next morning, the workers found empty suitcases with
forged seals and the police immediately arrived at the scene of the
crime

• Police quickly found out who is responsible for the crime
• On CCTV records they see the first and last.
• He didn’t even tried to hide his actions
• An international arrest warrant was issued
• Since his last shift, 15 hours had passed during that time he was abe
to get across the border without any problem
• The van was found in Pragues Libni on Certova street a little later the
police received a report from Frankfurt am Main whre local law
enforcement agencies discovered a silver Volkswagen Passat that
belongs to František Procházka.
• From there also comes the last photo of Procházka where he is sitting
behing the wheel on the highway
The biggest question
• What he did with the money.
• This amount of money weighs almost 450KG, half a ton would be
difficult to squeeze into the suitcase of checked luggage moreover it
would be immediately discovered by the airport security during the
security check
conclusion
• After long 17 years they still didn’t manage to find him but the
speculations says that he is probably living in South America
