Steps to Export Data
1. Click the File tab.
2. Click Export.
3. Click Change File Type.
4. Select the desired file type under Other File
Types:
A. Text (Tab delimited)
B. CSV (Comma delimited)
C. Formatted Text (Space delimited)
5. Click Save As.
6. Specify the save location.
7. Click Save.
8. Click Yes to confirm.

Importing Data
Purpose: allows you to bring in data from external
sources such as files, databases, or web pages.
Steps to Import Data:
1. Open the Data Tab
Click the Data tab on the Ribbon.
2. Get Data
Click the Get Data button.
3. Select Source Choose From File.
Then select From Text/CSV.
(For Access, web, or other sources, choose
accordingly.)

4. Select File
Choose the file you want to import.
5. Click Import
If a security notice appears, click OK.
6. Preview Data
Ensure the preview looks correct.
Check the delimiter settings (default is comma).
7. Click Load
Finalize the import by clicking Load.
Note:
Security Notice: Some data sources may require special
access; consult your technical support if needed.
Complex Connections: Be aware that some
connections can be complex.

4.3: Using Manuals, User Documentation,
and Online Help
A manual spreadsheet is a ledger book with many
sheets divided into rows and columns.
Data is entered manually using a pen or pencil.
User documentation includes guides and manuals that
help users understand and effectively use a product or
service.
Purpose: Serves to assist users in learning about the product.
Often called user guides, instruction manuals, or user manuals.
Types of Spreadsheets
1. Manual Spreadsheet:
Ledger book format.
Data entered manually.
2. Electronic Spreadsheet:
Computer program resembling a manual ledger.
Allows for mathematical manipulation using formulas.

Steps to Preview
1. Select the worksheet(s) you want to preview.
2. Click File, then click Print to display the
Preview window and printing options.
Note:
Preview appears in black-and-white unless using a
color printer.
Next Page/Previous Page buttons available for
multiple sheets or pages.
To view multiple worksheets, select Entire
workbook under Settings.
