Innocent people were murdered because of
the hysteria of young girls! Many people
believe that the young girls who accused
citizens of Salem, Massachusetts of taking
part in witchcraft were acting to punish their
enemies. However, recent evidence shows that
the young girls may have been poisoned by a
fungus called Ergot, which affects rye and
wheat. The general public needs to learn
about this possible cause for the hysteria in
Salem so that society can better understand
what happened in the past, how this event
may change present opinion, and how the
future might be changed by learning this new
LGBTQI+ people and other “sexual and gender diverse” people
experience structural and interpersonal discrimination that
adversely affects their well-being and drives disparate outcomes
across crucial areas of life. The current patchwork of
nondiscrimination laws in states across the country and existing
gaps in federal civil rights laws leave millions of LGBTQI+ people
without protection from discrimination. Since the beginning of its
tenure, the Biden-Harris administration has taken numerous
actions across executive agencies to bolster nondiscrimination
protections in federal regulations. Simultaneously, state attacks
explicitly targeting the rights of LGBTQI+ people have surged in
recent years.
