    Exploring the Diversity of Wildlife


    Introduction to Animals
    • Animals are multicellular organisms that form
    the biological kingdom Animalia.
    • They are diverse, ranging from simple
    creatures like sponges to complex beings like
    humans.
    Classification of Animals
    • Animals can be classified based on various
    factors:
    • 1. Vertebrates (with a backbone)
    • 2. Invertebrates (without a backbone)
    • 3. Habitats: Terrestrial, Aquatic, Aerial, etc.
    Mammals
    • Mammals are warm-blooded vertebrates with
    hair or fur.
    • They give birth to live young and feed them
    with milk.
    • Examples: Humans, Elephants, Tigers
    Birds
    • Birds are warm-blooded vertebrates
    characterized by feathers.
    • They lay eggs and most species can fly.
    • Examples: Eagles, Sparrows, Penguins
    Reptiles
    • Reptiles are cold-blooded vertebrates that lay
    eggs.
    • They have scaly skin and breathe air.
    • Examples: Snakes, Lizards, Turtles
    Conclusion
    • Animals play a vital role in maintaining the
    balance of ecosystems.
    • Their diversity makes our planet a unique and
    vibrant place.
