statements.
02
There are two
kinds of
statements :
• Self-supporting
statements.
• Supported statements.
03
A self-supporting statements is a
statement whose truth value can
be determined from the statement
itself.
In other words, it supports itself (or tears itself
down); you don't need to consider outside
information to decide whether it's true or not.
04
There are three kinds of
self-supporting
statements :
Self-reports, is something someone reports
about themselves, about their own
thoughts or feeling. We usually trust the
person & assume that these self-reports
are true.
Example :
If somebody told you, "I believe that the
sky is orange," you would say that their
statement is true, even though the sky is
not orange, because it is true that they
believe it is (and they are crazy). 05
Similarly, an atheist could agree that
your statement "I believe in God" is
true.
06
Look at this statement ;
"Jesus is the Son of God, or
He is not the Son of God."
07
"Jesus is the Son of God, or
He is not the Son of God."
08
Statements that are true
or false by logical
structure.
This statement is necessarily true.
It cannot be false, because it
covers all the possibilities.

day."
The statements that contradict
the definitions of their terms
