Mobile Computing
A mobile phone is essentially a computer that fits into your
pocket. It can perform tasks such as quick calculations,
sending E-mails and Instant Messaging (IM) and send and
receive phone calls.

Mobile computing is the process of using a mobile device


such as a smartphone / tablet / any other mobile computing
device to perform certain computational task.

Android

Android is an Open-Source Operating System created by


Google in 2008. It was created as a competitor to iOS
following the release of the first iPhone in 2007. But the
key difference here is despite Google having no Mobile
brands companies such as Samsung, LG, OnePlus,
Xiaomi, etc adopted its Operating System but with
modification.

Android UI varies from device to device as


the manufacturer has the control to
change features and UI elements from the
original Open-Source release of Android.

iOS

iOS was the operating system introduced by Apple


originally in 2007 during the original iPhone launch.
It is closed-source and only runs on Apple hardware
such as iPhone and iPods and an extended version
of iOS for tablets called iPadOS on iPads.

iOS UI is constant among all the


devices. The general appearance
is same for all iPhones running
the latest iOS version i.e. iOS 16
(Currently).
