What is Mentorship and Networking?
MENTORSHIP
Mentorship is when an experienced person (the mentor) guides and
advises someone with less experience (the mentee). In
entrepreneurship, mentors can be successful business owners,
investors, or industry experts who help new entrepreneurs navigate
the challenges of starting and growing a business.

NETWORKING

Networking is the process of building relationships with other

people who can help you in your business journey. This could be
potential customers, partners, investors, or even other
entrepreneurs.
Why Is It Important?

Strong networks can open doors to new opportunities. By

connecting with the right people, entrepreneurs can find
partners, gain customers, or secure funding. Networking also
helps entrepreneurs stay informed about what's happening in
their industry.

How Do They Help Entrepreneurs?

Both mentorship and networking provide the connections and

support that entrepreneurs need to grow their businesses.
Without these, it can be much harder to succeed.

What Does the Government Do?
Policy Support:
Governments can create laws and regulations that make it easier
(or harder) to start and run a business. For example, they can
reduce taxes for startups, offer grants or subsidies, and simplify
the process of registering a business.
Infrastructure and Resources:
Governments often fund or support business incubators and
innovation hubs, providing entrepreneurs with the resources they
need. They might also offer low-interest loans or grants to help
businesses get off the ground.
Education and Training:
Many governments work with schools and universities to offer
entrepreneurship education and training programs. This helps
ensure that people have the skills and knowledge to succeed as
entrepreneurs.
