Temperature scale
• The scale of degrees on a thermometer.
• There are three basic scales of temperature i.e. • Fahrenheit, Celsius and Kelvin • Celsius scale, centigrade scale, international scale • A temperature scale that defines the freezing point of water as 0 degrees and the boiling point of water as 100 degrees. • C = ( F - 32) / 1.8 • Fahrenheit scale • A temperature scale that defines the freezing point of water as 32 degrees and the boiling point of water a 212 degrees. • K = ( F + 459.67) / 1.8 • Kelvin scale, absolute scale • A temperature scale that defines absolute zero as 0 degrees; water freezes at 273.16 degrees and boils at 373.16 degrees. • K = C + 273.15
