Details of Meeting of the Clean-Street Competition Committee held on Saturday, 29 June
the meeting 2019 at Church Hall

Who was there • There was a representative at the meeting from most of the houses in the street.
+ apologies Ma Ngwenya and Peter February sent their apologies.
• Thembi welcomed everybody and explained how the competition works: an
inspector from the Council will come each week to see how the street looks. This
will be a surprise visit so we must keep it spotless all the time.
Summarise what • Tina Scheepers said we must work as a team. She described where the rubbish
was suggested must be placed and how to sort waste into glass, paper and tins.

the street, living at number 44, who litters the street. Mrs Chauke agreed she
would speak to him and ask him to co-operate.

Design a NOTICE and write an AGENDA for a meeting on how to get all
learners in the school to participate in the recycling project. Also
write the MINUTES for this meeting, imagining what would be said
during the meeting.
The NOTICE must be 30 - 50 words
