1. How are sensors used in monitoring applications? List

a few sensors.
System monitoring and control applications can make use of
sensors. Sensors are input devices that monitor various physical
characteristics like as movement, light intensity, and
temperature. They can be applied to control and monitoring
systems.
▪ Temperature sensors – They prevent computers from freezing
or overheating due to the heat produced by the CPUs and
other hardware.
▪ Sensors for measuring moisture content – These devices
measure a material’s moisture content.
▪ Humidity sensors – These devices detect both the
temperature and the moisture level in the air.
▪ Pressure sensors – These devices take pressure readings.
.
2. What is the significance of digital to analogue
converter in monitoring and control applications?
A digital-to-analogue converter (DAC) is an essential
component in
monitoring and control applications. It transforms binary data
and
other digital information into continuous analogue impulses that
can represent actual values. Through this conversion, analogue
components like sensors and actuators may communicate with
digital
systems, providing accurate control and monitoring.
