Ladies and gentlemen, today we
embark on our journey to the cosmos.
Imagine a telescope that can see
beyond the boundaries of time and
space, Unveiling the secrets hidden
since the birth of the universe
welcome to the James Webb Space
Telescope!
Before the James Webb telescope was
launched, humanity always wondered
about the mysteries of the universe;
1. How did the universe form
2. What lies beyond our galaxy
3. Is there life elsewhere?
Did you know:
Stars are moving away from our sight at the speed of light
The James Webb Telescope has changed everything!
With its 6.5 meter primary mirror and
advanced infra-red sensors, it can:
1. Observe distant galaxies, stars, and
planets.
2. Study the formation of first stars and
galaxies
3. Analyse the atmospheres of exo-planets for
signs of life
4. Uncover the hidden secrets of our solar
system
Impacts of the James Webb
Space Telescope
It is and will continue to revolutionize our
understanding of the cosmos.
It will help us determine whether planets orbiting
other stars could support life
And see galaxies that formed just after the big bang
The term "cosmos" refers to the universe as an orderly, harmonious
system.
SCIENTIFIC GOALS OF JAMES WEBB
SPACE TELESCOPE.
Understanding the formation of first the Galaxies.
Probing the birth and Evolution of stars and planetary systems.
Characterizing Exoplanets and theirs Atmospheres.
Examining the formation of stars and planetary systems in our own Galaxy.
Exploring the first stages of planetary system Development.
Investing the early universe (Bing Bang and cosmic Reionization).
Investigating the chemical Evolution of the universe.
Providing insights into the origins of Life.
DISCOVERIES OF JAMES WEBB SPACE
TELESCOPE
Pillars of creation: The Webb telescope has captured
stunning images of the Eagle nebula, revealing newborn stars
hidden within the icon pillars. These protostars are still in the
early stages of formation, and Webb's infrared imaging has
provided unprecedented insights into the star-forming
process
Exoplanet Atmospheres: Webb has analyse the
atmosphere of WASP-39b, a gas giant exoplanet, detecting
carbon dioxide and sulfur dioxide . This break through has
significant implications for understanding the formation and
potential habitability of exoplanet.
THANK YOU FOR WATCHING
