DEFINITION OF
INTEGERS
An integer is any number including 0,
positive numbers, and
negative numbers. It should be noted that
an integer can never be
a fraction, a decimal or a per cent. Some
examples of integers
include 0, 1, 3, 108, -43, etc.
ADDITION OF INTEGERS
To perform addition on integers, it is better to use the real number line.
Adding a positive integer means to move to the right of the first addend (the
first given integer). And adding a negative integer means to move to the left
of the first addend (the first given integer).
10 + (-10) = ?
