What should we
do?
Problems
• Main Problem: Production of too many carbon
• By product: Carbon dioxide (CO2)
- Underlying Problems:
 Deforestation
 Fossil fuel use
 Warming of the globe
Atmosphere

carbon humans
release into the
atmosphere in the

Warmer oceans—a
product of the
greenhouse effect.
Carbonic acid
* Decrease the
abundance of
phytoplanktons.
* Shells became
thinner and fragile.
Benefits
• Used by plants as ingredient for
their food production
• Without it, Earth would be a
frozen planet.
• Since we cannot stop the production of
carbon-running companies because our
economic activities will be detrimented, what
we need to do is to lessen the consumption of
it by creating a “carbon sink.”
Ways and Means!!!
• 1. Plant more trees (reforestation.)
• 2. Utilize the resources
• 3. Use alternative source
• 4. Clean air act
• 5. Solid caps
• 6. Strong laws
• 7. Citizen Action
• 8. Carbon fees
