EV Data Analysis Presentation
EV Data Analysis Presentation
Electric Vehicle
Market in the
US
The electric vehicle (EV) market is experiencing rapid
growth in the United States. This presentation will delve
into an analysis of EV registration data, providing insights
into trends, market size, and future projections.
Data Cleaning and Preparation
1 Null Value Removal
The first step in data analysis is to ensure data quality. Missing values, or nulls,
can skew results and impact the accuracy of findings. We addressed this by
removing any missing values in our EV registration dataset.
2 Data Validation
After removing null values, we validated the remaining data to ensure its accuracy
and consistency. This step involved checking for inconsistencies, duplicates, and
potential errors in the data.
3 Data Transformation
We transformed the data as needed, converting data types and formats to prepare
it for analysis. This step included standardization of units, consistent formatting,
and potentially converting data to a suitable format for visualization.
4 Data Aggregation
To gain insights at a higher level, we aggregated the data by county, state, or
year, depending on the analysis requirement. This allowed us to summarize and
analyze data across different geographical or temporal scales.
Analyzing EV Registration Trends
1 Early Adoption (1997-2015)
EV registration numbers were relatively low during this
period, indicating a gradual initial adoption of EVs.
70-80 kWh
EVs with these battery capacities offer longer driving ranges and are often found in
premium or higher-end models.
40-50 kWh
Smaller battery capacities are common in entry-level EVs or those focused on affordability.
90+ kWh
High-capacity batteries offer extended driving ranges, suitable for long-distance
travel and those seeking maximum range potential.
Forecasting the EV
Market Size
1 2024 Forecast
Based on the CAGR calculated from
previous years, we project a significant
increase in EV registrations in 2024.
