ATTENDANCE AND ABSENCES
• Attendance of the students is checked every meeting. After the student has incurred
ten (10) consecutive absences, the Program Deans will endorse to the guidance
office for counseling and other interventions prior to the implementation of sanctions.
• An absence can be excused with valid grounds. The instructor determines whether
the absence is excused or not. Serious illness, death in the immediate family and
other incidents serious in nature are considered excused absences.
• All students are expected to be punctual at all times. However, the school allows a
student a maximum of fifteen (15) minutes tardy in a class. A student is marked late
after the fifteen (15) minutes period and is considered absent after incurring three (3)
consecutive/non-consecutive lates.
• Students who leave after the roll call and do not return shall be marked “cutting
class” and will be dealt accordingly.
• Students who are asked to represent the school in other activities shall be excused
from their classes.
EXAMINATION RULES

• The students must present their examination clearance to the


instructor. The policy “No Permit, No Exam” must be strictly
observed.
• Students should observe honesty during examinations.
• Students caught copying/cheating will face disciplinary action.
• Students who are not able to take the exams on the scheduled
date for valid reasons will be given special examinations by
their subject teacher.

Course Description
This course shall deal with philosophies, theories and legal bases of
special needs and inclusive education, typical and atypical development
of children, learning characteristics of students with special educational
needs (gifted and talented, learners with difficulty seeing, learners with
difficulty hearing, learners with difficulty communicating, learners with
difficulty walking/ moving, learners with difficulty remembering and
focusing, learners with difficulty with self- care) and strategies in
teaching and managing these learners in the regular class.
