INTRODUCTION
Before jumping into the term “Data Visualization”, let’s have a discuss on the term “Data Science” because
these two terms are interrelated. But how? Let’s understand. So, in simple terms, “Data Science is the science of
analyzing raw data using statistics and machine learning techniques with the purpose of drawing
conclusions about that information“.
1.Fetching/Obtaining the Data
2.Scrubbing/Cleaning the Data
3.Data Visualization
4.Modeling the Data
5.Interpreting the Data
6.Revision
Data visualization is the graphical representation of information and data in a pictorial or
graphical format(Example: charts, graphs, and maps). Data visualization tools provide an
accessible way to see and understand trends, patterns in data, and outliers.
WHY DATAVISUALIZATION IS IMPORTANT?
1. Data Visualization Discovers the Trends in Data
The most important thing that data visualization does is discover the trends in data. After all, it is much easier to observe data
trends when all the data is laid out in front of you in a visual form as compared to data in a table.
Data Visualization provides a perspective on data by showing its meaning in the larger scheme of things. It demonstrates how
particular data references stand with respect to the overall data picture.
A dashboard that visualises a patient's history might aid a current or new doctor in comprehending a patient's
health. It might give faster care facilities based on illness in the event of an emergency. Instead than sifting
through hundreds of pages of information, data visualisation may assist in finding trends
2.Business intelligence
When compared to local options, cloud connection can provide the cost-effective “heavy lifting” of processor-
intensive analytics, allowing users to see bigger volumes of data from numerous sources to help speed up
decision-making.
3.Education
Users may visually engage with data, answer questions quickly, make more accurate, data-informed decisions,
and share their results with others using intuitive, interactive dashboards.
CONCLUSION
Data visualization is the process of representing data in a graphical or pictorial way in a clear and
effective manner. It has emerged as a powerful and widely applicable tool for analyzing and
interpreting large and complex data. It has become a quick, easy means of conveying concepts in a
universal format. It must communicate complex ideas with clarity, accuracy, and efficiency. These
benefits have allowed data visualization to be useful in many fields of study.
