TRIVIA: Do you know what the longest bridge is in
the Philippines?
TRIVIA: Known to
be the longest bridge
in the Philippines
with the length of
2.162 kilometers
which connects the
provinces of Western
Samar and Northern
Leyte.

ARRANGE
ME!
One summer, Regine and friends attended
the Saranggola Festival in Pandi, Bulacan.
They notice that the spars of the kite produce
multiple congruent triangles. Let us help
Regine and her friends to identify the different
congruent triangles in the kite.
· Were you able to arrange the given paragraph?
· Is it possible that the second sentence in the paragraph will be
ANALYSIS our first sentence?
· What have you noticed about the figure above?
· What do you think will happen if the right part of the kite is
bigger or smaller than its left part?
· Is it necessary that the right and left parts of the kite are
balanced?
· Which corresponding sides of the kite should be made
congruent?
· Generally, what should be considered in order to have a good
kite?

Angle Bisector
-is a line, ray, or segment that
divides the angle into two
congruent angles.
Construction of angle bisector using two congruent triangles

Example 1:
Steps:
1. Given two congruent triangles by ASA Postulate,
determine the other corresponding parts that are
congruent.
Using Corresponding Parts of Congruent Triangles are
Congruent (CPCTC), the following corresponding parts
are congruent.
∠3 ≅ ∠5; XZ ≅ XC; and YZ ≅ YC
2. Put the two triangles together in such a way that a
pair of corresponding sides coincide. Change the label
of the overlapping sides.
3. Determine the
common side or the
side shared by the
triangles.

Common side: 𝑋𝑌̅̅̅̅

4. Determine the
adjacent angles formed.
Adjacent angles:
∠1 and ∠4
∠2 and ∠6
Since the two pairs of adjacent angles are
congruent and one of the angles is half of
∠𝑍𝑋𝐶 or half of ∠𝑍𝑌𝐶, it follows that side 𝑋𝑌̅̅̅̅
divides both ∠𝑍𝑋𝐶 and ∠𝑍𝑌𝐶 congruently.
Thus, side 𝑋𝑌̅̅̅̅ bisects both ∠𝑍𝑋𝐶 and ∠𝑍𝑌𝐶.
Hence, side 𝑋𝑌̅̅̅̅ is an angle bisector.

Example 4:
The students will be given disposable drinking
CONNECT straws to replicate and create the provided
ME! figure, and they will be asked to identify the
angle bisector base on the completed figure.
Points will be awarded to the first group to
construct and provide the right response.
