SCHOOL POLICY

LALA NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL S.Y. 2024-2025


SCHOOL UNIFORM AND GOOD GROOMING

The students are required to be neat and clean in their


manner of attire.

Male students should wear uniforms intended for males;


Female students should also wear uniforms for females.

All students should wear an official school uniform on


Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and P.E. uniform on
Wednesday.

1. Wearing slippers, sleeveless shirts, shorts, mini skirts,
crop tops, tattered jeans, curriculum shirts ( except for special
occasions), and other improper attire is highly discouraged.

2. All students should wear shoes. Black leather shoes


with socks (white-colored socks for female learners)
should be worn on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and
Friday; rubber shoes with socks could be worn on
Wednesday.

3. Students should wear school IDs at the school campus,
especially inside the classrooms.

4. Boys must be in their proper haircut and are not allowed to


wear earrings or studs as prescribed by the school administration.
However, the school also adheres to DepEd Order No. 32, s. 2017.

5. Male and Female students are not allowed to color their hair.
However, the school also adheres to DepEd Order No. 32, s. 2017.
CARE OF SCHOOL PROPERTIES
Covering and Care of Books - When a book is issued to a
student, they must put a paper or plastic cover on it. They
shall keep their books clean and free from any writing. Any
book not properly covered and cared for will be confiscated.

If a student has a damaged book beyond ordinary wear and


tear, or in case of loss of such book, no charge will be
imposed if it is not due to negligence. The student would
write a narrative report of the incident, which must be
signed by the adviser.
CARE OF SCHOOL PROPERTIES
Destroying School Properties & Facilities - Any student
caught destroying school properties and facilities must be
required to replace such property.

Vandalism - Students are not allowed to write on any school


property. Any student caught doing so will be subject to
disciplinary measures.

Littering - Littering is not allowed anywhere on the campus.


Every student has a responsibility to keep the campus clean.

1. Students participating in any outside activity as
representatives of LNHS must secure travel authority
(locator) duly signed by the principal.

2. Off-campus undertakings may be organized with the


approval of the school head.

3. All students need to present their parental consent to


participate in any activity that takes place on a weekend
or outside of school hours.

4. The school does not grant approval to any illegal organizations, such as
fraternities and sororities. A student caught joining or being a member of any
fraternities, sororities, or unauthorized organizations shall be treated accordingly
or expelled from the school.

5. No visitor is allowed to visit classrooms during school hours without


permission from the school authority (DepEd No. 7, s. 2006).

6. Parents or guardians may confer with a teacher during the teacher's free time.

7. A student is allowed to leave the school campus only if fetched by a parent or


guardian after the latter has been notified by the class adviser.

8. Any student caught in possession of deadly weapons inside the school
campus shall meet appropriate disciplinary action, may be expelled from
the school, and be turned over to the police for appropriate action.

9. Smoking and drunkenness inside the school campus are strictly


prohibited.

10. Students caught in possession or under the influence of prohibited


drugs shall meet appropriate disciplinary action, may be expelled from
school, and be turned over to the police authority for immediate and
appropriate action.
SOCIAL MEDIA POLICY
1. Students are not allowed to use cellphones, gadgets, laptops, etc.,
for browsing the internet during school hours if it hinders the
teaching and learning process. They are permitted to use these
devices for educational purposes when advised by their teacher.

2. Students using social media platforms should be aware of legal


risks and acts such as libel, harassment, intellectual property
infringement, data privacy infringement, and breach of
confidence. This includes the Cybercrime Law of 2012 (RA
10175), Data Privacy Act of 2012 (RA 10173), and Intellectual
Property Code (RA 8293).

3. Students must not access any social media platforms or
anonymous sites during school hours as there is a high risk
of inappropriate comments being exchanged, which can
cause distress or endanger the learners.

4. Offensive, explicit, or abusive language and inappropriate


pictures must not be included in messages that can harm
learners. All messages should be positive and not include
anything that could be upsetting or defamatory towards
others or the school.

5. Students should be mindful of their statements, messages,
views, opinions, or posts that appear online. The public can
view their posts, which may have a negative impact on their
reputation, the reputation of others, and the reputation of the
school. Posts must align with DepEd core values and ethics.

6. Students must report inappropriate, defamatory, or upsetting


posts towards others (students, teachers, and staff) or the
school that they see online to their parents, a faculty member,
or a school body for appropriate action.

7. Any concerns or issues about the school, students, faculty, or staff should be
expressed directly to the appropriate school body and not voiced on social media for
proper resolution. There is a proper venue for complaints.

8. Obtain permission before posting, liking, and sharing pictures that contain
learners unless sharing or liking a post from the school’s official social media
account.

9. The school does not actively monitor individual personnel's or students’ social
media accounts. If personnel and students post on their personal social media
accounts, it is understood that the views expressed are their own and do not
necessarily reflect those of the school. However, if a concern is raised and the post is
found to be inappropriate or in violation, it is subject to the school’s appropriate
disciplinary action.

10. Students are allowed to set up LNHS social media
accounts only for official school use, such as student clubs or
official school programs/projects. Posting must be supervised
and approved by LNHS personnel or an adviser.

11. The creation of social media accounts such as “Shout Out,”


“Confessions,” and similar pages is strictly discouraged, as
these are not official LNHS social media accounts. The
content, views, opinions, and language expressed therein do
not necessarily reflect those of the school.

CONSEQUENCES
1. For Major Offenses

a. Suspension from Class. Students are not allowed to attend classes for a
certain period.

b. Suspension from School. Imposed for more serious violations. A student is


not allowed inside the campus. However, accountable for the lesson and
class activities during the period of suspension. Suspension should be done
after parent conference.

c. Expulsion. The most serious of all the sanctions and administered only after
careful consideration of the case, and the approval of DepEd Secretary.

d. Advice to transfer to other school/dismissal.


CONSEQUENCES
2. For Minor Offenses

a. First Commission - Written apology from the student


with parent of guardian's signature.

b. Second Commission
- Written Apology
- Community Service

c. Subsequent Commission - Advise to report the


office of the principal with parent/guardian.
This will be raised as major offense if problem cannot
be settled.
