Objectives
At the end of the lesson, 75% of the
students are expected to:

 1.Identify the computer components necessary to


complete the task.
 2.Value the importance of each computer
components in a computer system.
 3. Describe the function of each components.
Input Devices
This is an electro-mechanical device that
allows a user to input the data into a
computer.
1. Keyboard
 Mostcommon and very popular input device
which helps to input data to the computer.
2. Mouse
A very famous cursor-control device having a
small palm size box with a round ball as its base,
which senses the movement of the mouse and
sends corresponding signals to the CPU when the
mouse buttons are pressed.
3. Scanner
Works like a photocopy machine. It is
used when some information available
on paper and it is to be transferred to
a hard disk of the computer.

4. Microphone
Itis used for various applications such
as adding sound to a multimedia
presentation or for mixing music.
Output Devices
2. Printer
A device that accepts text and graphic
output from a computer and transfers the
information to paper.
1. Monitor

 A device that display signals, text and icons on a


computer screen.
3. Speaker
An output device that connects to
a computer to generate sound.
4. Headphone
A pair of small speakers used for listening
to sound from a computer, music player or
other such electronic device
5. Screen Projector

 Isa specialized computer display that


projects an enlarged image on a white
screen.
Motherboard
 Is the main printed circuit board in general
purpose computers and other expandable system,
It is the backbone that ties the computer’s
componenets together at one spot and allows
them to communicate to each other
Processor or CPU

One of the major component of a


computer system that controls the
interpretation and execution of
instruction.
