The poet wants us to be aware of the environmental destruction and pollution
caused by human activities. The poet highlights the various ways in which the
environment is being harmed, such as through pollution, deforestation, and the
use of harmful chemicals.

ensure the survival of humanity.

13. There has to be something that someone can do

15. That if we don’t heed the problem at hand
16. It’s your life that’s at stake, the destruction of
man.

Stanza 4
The message in the last stanza is a call to action. The poet urges people to raise awareness
about environmental issues and warns that if these problems are not addressed, it will lead to
the destruction of human life. The stanza emphasizes the urgency and personal stake everyone
has in protecting the environment.
