NOTATION
What is Permutation?
 It is an arrangement or list in which
order is important. For example, abc, is
different from bca.
 The permutation of objects taken at a
time is denoted as
FACTORIAL NOTATION
 The factorial notation (symbol:!) is the process of
multiplying consecutive decreasing whole numbers
from an identified number down to one.
 The symbol is used to express products such as

where n is any positive integer,


 From the definition of n factorial then 1!0!=1!=1.
Because of this, 0! is defined as .
