Mediterranean Sea, Aegean Sea and Black Sea surround our country. It’s Neighbours Are: GREECE, BULGARIA, IRAQ, SYRIA, IRAN, GEORGIA, ARMENIA There are 7 regions and 81 cities in Türkiye. Türkiye was founded by Atatürk in 1923. Our official language is Turkish. Türkiye is a republic. Ankara is the capital city of Türkiye. It’s religion is İslam. Population Our population is over 80 million. (81.517.100) Türkiye has got mixed population.
Turkish, Kurdish, Armenian, Bosnian,
Macedonian, Arabian and others.
Last years, 2 million Syrians emigrated to
Türkiye. Turkish Religion is İslam. Most of people are Muslim. On the other hand, Cristian and Jewish people are living in our country. Everybody is free to choose his/her religion. In different cities there are a lot of Mosques, Churches and synagogues. ANKARA IS THE CAPITAL CITY OF TÜRKİYE İSTANBUL •İstanbul is the biggest city, and cultural, economical Centre of Türkiye. MERSİN Mersin (pronounced [ˈmæɾsin]) is a large city and port on the Mediterranean coast of southern Turkey. Mersin lies on the western side of Çukurova, a geographical, economic and cultural region of Turkey. It is an important hub for Turkey's economy, with Turkey's largest seaport being located here. BURSA • Bursa is ski center in Türkiye. And it’s also very famous because it was the first capital of the Ottoman Empire. TRABZON
•Trabzon is one of the biggest cities of Black Sea
Region in Türkiye. In addition to this, Trabzon is well known city thanks to Sumela Monastery. ANTALYA
• Antalya is a huge tourist destination.Every year
many tourists are coming for vocation. İZMİR • İzmir is a beautiful port city in Türkiye. The ancient city of Ephesus is located here. DIYARBAKIR •Diyarbakır is the biggest city of East Anatolia. Church of Saint Georgi is one of the historical places in this city. TOURISTIC AND HISTORICAL DESTINATIONS Istanbul has a lot of Ottoman and Byzantine Empires monuments.
