    WHAT IS VIRUS ?

    The full form of virus is vital infectious resources under


    seize. It spread from one place another. Means it has control
    over the place where it is spread.

    WHAT IS MALWARE ?

    Malware is a catch-all term for any type of malicious


    software designed to harm or exploit any programmable
    device, service or network. Cybercriminals typically use it
    to extract data that they can leverage over victims for
    financial gain.

    WHAT IS COMPUTER VIRUS ?

    A computer virus is a piece of software. This malware has

    itself.

    that computer is connected to a network, the virus can spread
    to other computers, similar to how a human virus spreads from
    one person to another.

    Code Red, MYDoom, and Mellissa are three well-known


    viruses.

    •They slow down the computer's processing speed.
    •They can cause the computer's or hard disk's memory to be
    reduced or blocked.
    •They prevent you from rebooting your pc or restarting it
    repeatedly.
    •They use your account to send e-mails without your awareness.
    What causes a computer to become infected with a
    virus?
    Using virus-infected CDs/Pen Drives.
    Opening an infected e-mail attachment.
    Downloading an infected program from the Internet,
    Pen Drives, CDs, or DVDs.
    Running an infected program (which can be a game,
    screen saver, etc.)
    Through local computer networks.
    How can you know your PC has a virus?

    1.Start displaying unusual messages on the


    screen.
    2.Load the programs late.
    3.Take more time to shut the windows.
    4.Increase the size of the infected files.
    5.Change the file names or types
    automatically.
    How to prevent the virus from attacking your
    PC?

    i. Download any legal software.


    ii. Don't open any unknown mail.
    iii. If you receive an e-mail attachment from an
    unknown sender, refrain from opening it.
    iv. Don't download music, program, or games
    from unknown sources on the Internet.
    v. Install an antivirus program in your system.

    Antivirus software is a sort of application that defends computers from


    malware such as viruses, computer worms, trojans, spyware, botnets,
    rootkits, keyloggers, and other threats.
    Antivirus software scans your computer for viruses, finds them, and
    removes them.
    Antivirus software, on the other hand, is designed to protect computers
    and, once viruses are detected, to destroy them.
    Most of the antivirus software allows for both automated and manual
    screening.
    Files downloaded from the Internet, discs inserted into the computer, and
    files created by programme installers can all be checked with the quick
    scanning option.
