Introduction
 Very-large-scale integration (VLSI) is the process of creating an Intigrated circuit by
combining thousands of transistors into a single chip.

 When complex semiconductor and communication technologies were being developed.

 Before the introduction of VLSI technology, most ICs had a limited set of functions
they could perform.

 An electronic circuit might consist of a CPU, RAM and ROM. The IC designers add all
of these into one chip.

 Applications of integrated circuits in high-performance computing, controls,

telecommunications, image and video processing.

ABOUT VLSI SIGNAL PROCESSING

 VLSI signal processing refers to use of integrated circuit to process and analyze
signals.

 These circuits are designed using very large scale integration(VLSI) technology, which
allows for the creation of complex circuits on a sigle chip.

 The role of VLSI signal processing in modern electronics cannot be overstated.

 It enables faster and more efficient data transmission as well as the development of
smaller and more powerful electronic devices.

WHAT ARE SKILLS THAT WE LEARNT IN THESE WEEKS
WEEK 1:In this phase we had learn about basics of Digital signal processing and different types of algorithms with example problems.

 DSP is a technique of performing the mathematical operations on the signals in digital domain. As real time signals are analog in nature we
need first convert the analog signal to digital, then we have to process the signal in digital domain and again converting back to analog
domain. Thus ADC is required at the input side whereas a DAC is required at the output end. A typical DSP system is as shown in figure 1.
Digital Signal Processing Algorithm:
 Digital Signal Processing.
 Digital Signal Processing System.
 Field Programmable Gate Arrays.
 Fast Fourier Transform.
 Digital Signal Processor.
 Processing Element.
 Single Instruction Multiple Data.
 Backpropagation.

WHAT ARE SKILLS THAT WE LEARNT IN THESE WEEKS

WEEK 2: In this phase we learn about introduction to Verilog parameters like operators, numbers, nets etc. and also learn
about introduction to different levels of abstraction.

Verilog language supports designing a module using several coding styles. Depending on the needs of a design, internals
of each module can be defined at three level of abstractions. Irrespective of the internal abstraction level, the module
would behave exactly in the similar way to the external environment.

Following are the three different levels of abstraction.

 Behavioral level

 Register-transfer level

 Gate level

WHAT ARE SKILLS THAT WE LEARNT IN THESE WEEKS
WEEK 3: Here we learnt about the vivado by xilinx software which is required for my project. And also we did some
assignments regarding previous classes.
Xilinx Vivado is a widely used electronic design automation (EDA) tool suite developed by Xilinx Inc., a leading
provider of programmable logic devices (FPGAs and SoCs). Vivado is primarily used for designing and implementing
digital circuits, including complex programmable logic devices (CPLDs) and field-programmable gate arrays (FPGAs).

Here are some key features and functionalities of Vivado: Design Entry, Synthesis and Optimization, IP Integrator,
Constraint Management, Implementation, Verification and Debugging, Hardware Debugging, Partial Reconfiguration

Vivado offers a comprehensive development environment for FPGA and SoC designs, supporting a wide range of
Xilinx devices. It is commonly used in industries such as aerospace, automotive, telecommunications, and consumer
electronics for a variety of applications, including high-speed data processing, signal processing, image/video
processing, and more.

WHAT ARE SKILLS THAT WE LEARNT IN THESE WEEKS

WEEK 4: In this week I done a Verilog project by using Vivado by Xilinx software.

 I done my Verilog project named “ 2 to 4 decoder”. Simulate the code in vivado software and observed the simulation output and also verify design
timing summary, latency, through put etc..

ADVANTAGES
 Reduced size for circuits.

 Increased cost-effectiveness for devices.

 Improved performance in terms of the operating speed of circuits.

 Requires less power than discrete components.

 Higher device reliability.

 Requires less space and promotes miniaturization.

DISADVANTAGES
 Certain improvements are required for following:

 Recognition of obstacles as water, soft and very small objects.

Recognition of colors

 Recognition of obstacles when it is present in all directions at the same

time. Person can get irritated and confused by sound of beep.

CONCLUSION

 I conclude that, this internship has been a very useful experience for me.I can safely
say that my understanding of the job environment has increased greatly. However,I
do think that there are some aspects of the job that I could have done better and that
I need to work on.I need to build more confidence in applying accounting
principles realized that I could have completed the work earlier than I did. Also, the
technical parts of the job were a bit flawed and I was asked multiple times to
correct it.
 The two main things that I learned after my experience in this firm are the
importance of time management and being self-motivated.
