Introduction

• FlekZone Bakery & café is a private café

• Located at Gokarneshwor, Kathmandu.

• The aim of this café is to provide best food in it’s locality.

• External orders are taken through phone calls

• Unreliable/inaccurate tracking of orders (Human Errors)

• Paper based transaction system

Objectives
• To create a web application

• To allow customers to search for the desired items.

• To enable them to directly place order from the system.

• To increase the operational efficiency.

• To improve customer relationship and their satisfaction.

Data Processing
Input :

• Customer place an order online.

• Data such as customer info, order details is collected.

Processing:

• Total cost is calculated and payment is captured.

• Order status changes to “processing”.

Output:

• Food are dispatched for delivery.

Literature Review
• Order management system is one of supply chain management system which has an important
part related to the customer satisfaction and profit of the company. Order Management process is
a software which is supportive for the businesses work hardware goods, where storeowner saves
the records of sales and purchase. (SHEEBA ILYAS, June 4, 2021)

• The restaurant are able to keep track of the orders placed and also organize their bills and orders.
They can also manage the products and stock in the inventory with the application. The
disadvantage being, the order module is not completed and hence the advantages for the same
cannot be included in the section. The administration user is not able make an action on more
than one record on a single event. This becomes a tedious task. (Monisha Shetty, 2019)

• It is a delivery-oriented system that allows clients to order the multiple food at the same time, and
provides the possibility to order individually. Orders can be placed by users through the web
interface. The data related to restaurants, foods and orders is managed by administrators. A web-
based application is used by the delivery personnel. (Cristina-Edina Domokos, 2018)

• This project proposes the Order Processing System. The case study aims to design and develop a
database maintaining the records of users. Our website provides management of users and their
orders along with the payment details. By keeping efficient tracks of who was assigned to deliver
which order and what was the order amount along with customer details it first helps keep a track
of service and sale, and other, helps to manage complains. (R, 2022)
