Supervised By
Name:Resha Bhattarai Er. Dhiraj Kumar Jha
TU Roll: 11676/20
Introduction

• Started its operation as Goma Air.

• In operation since 2011.
• Head office located in Tinkune, Subhidanagar Kathmandu.
• Also provides courier service
• Information regarding courier services not digitized.
• Difficulty in managing records and tracking packages.

2
Objectives

• To keep track of the packages.

• To record details about Sender/Receiver.

• To allow the Sender/Receiver to track their package as well.

3
Literature Review
• Air cargo plays a crucial yet often overlooked role in the airline industry, serving as an
essential component of the global logistics network by efficiently moving goods
worldwide at decreasing costs. Airlines can offer discounted rates for intact in unit load
devices (ULDs) delivered or collected, generating revenue from spare capacity (Chinn,
2018).
• To balance air cargo handling processes with cargo terminal operations, a Minimum Cost
Network Flow (MCNF) model has been developed. This model helps determine the
processing rates and inventory levels required to minimize total system costs, defined as
the sum of holding and late costs (Tang, 2019).
• Aviation freight transportation involves two main components: cargo operations and the
management of air waybills and transportation information. Cargo owners must first
book space on the airline, deliver the cargo to the airport terminal, and then the cargo
undergoes export handling before being loaded onto the aircraft (Yang, 2016).

Conclusion
Cargo Management System is developed as per the problems that
were identified during the organizational visit.
This system solves the problem that occurs when managing
information like cargo type, sender and receiver information, etc.
Overall, the system is assumed to be very helpful to the
organization.
