What is Paragraph Formation

• Whole paragraph is mixed


• Sentences are made to look as if they have no connection to each
other
• Nothing is fixed
• Mostly be based on a specific theme or story
How to solve Paragraph Formation

• Find out the declaring or introducing statement


• Pin point the conjunctions in statements
• Find out the theme of the passage or paragraph
• Plot out a timeline
• Find out the conclusion and you can start from the bottom as well
How to solve Paragraph Formation

• Elimination method
• Use the options given, find out the first sentence
• Everything else falls in place

Paragraph Formation Example
1.A study to this effect suggests that the average white- collar worker
demonstrates only about 25% listening efficiency.
2.However, for trained and good listeners it is not unusual to use all the
three approaches during a setting, thus improving listening efficiency.

• Last line may or may not be fixed

❖Find out the Introduction statement


❖Second statement would mostly be an explanation or eloboration
or extension of first
❖Another way is to connect using a conjunction
❖Third or fourth sentence will either be the repetetion or
conjunction of the above pattern
❖Fifth or last will conclude
How to solve jumbled Sentences

• Finding out the theme


• Forming a paragraph that says the whole story
• Break it down to sentences
• Arrrange them using nothing but the story and logic and not
grammar
