OBJECTIVES
Our objectives coincide with that of the National Education Policy, i.e., to
ensure:
● a sound foundation for our children
● to enable children to become effective communicators
● to enable children to think critically
● to enable children to be creative
● to enable children to collaborate and
● to connect them with their immediate environment

We try to achieve this through multiple teaching strategies,

supportive interactions, play and activities.

3
PEDAGOGY
The educational programme of the school offers age-appropriate
academics, co-curricular activities, art education and exposure to various
skills including life skills and soft skills.

Our curriculum aims to integrate various domains of development by

encouraging the students to enquire, explore, discover and establish
attitudes related to learning, which eventually will stay with them for life.

4
COMMUNICATION
● We communicate through Google Classroom, child’s school email id and WhatsApp
broadcast channels. Checking your ward’s Google Classroom, inbox of your child’s
email id and Whats App regularly will help you stay updated. At times when messages
are not read by a parent and the child does not come with required material for the
activity, the child is not able to perform. Therefore we request you to check the
communication streams daily.
● You need to save school contact numbers in your phone to receive broadcast messages
(8349990308, 8224990333). Kindly do not send SMS or WhatsApp messages on these
numbers.
● You can email us regarding your concerns, if any, at [email protected]
● Kindly compose a new email each time. At times, it is difficult to locate an email if they
are in a thread.
● You can contact us on our mobile numbers- 8349990308, 8224990333 between 9am
and 1pm on weekdays.
● PLEASE AVOID MAKING PHONE CALLS UNLESS THERE IS
AN EMERGENCY.

COMPANION

6
COMPANION
● Companion is the school diary provided to each child.
● It is to be carried to school every day.
● You are requested to go through the important instructions
mentioned in the Companion (page 1 to 14 )
● The first three pages of the Companion are the Personal cards and
Undertaking. You are requested to fill the pages and paste recent
photos in the given boxes.
● The fourth page of the Companion is the Escort card. Kindly fill it
completely alongwith pictures of persons whom you will authorise to
pick your ward from bus stop.
● Kindly ensure that the Companion is not mishandled or spoiled by
scribbling in it or in any other manner.

7
CONSENT FORM
Children are taken to various field trips during the session.

A common ‘Consent form’ for all these trips is attached to the

Companion.

It has to be signed and sent on the very first day.

If the consent form is not signed, your ward will not be taken to the field
trips.

He / she will remain in school under the supervision of a teacher.

by you when your child

Nursery. The same escort card will get forwarded for session 2023-24 in
Jr. KG. Kindly inform us if any changes are to be made.
● The third page of the companion is also an escort card which will be used
by the helpers on the bus to verify the person who comes to pick your child
at the bus stop. You are required to fill in the details and attach recent
photos (preferably clicked post February 2023)
● In case the photo of the person at the bus stop is missing or does not match
the one in the escort card, your child will not be handed over, instead he/
she will be brought back to school. You will have to come and pick your
child from school. Kindly avoid such situations, as when the child is
retained on the bus or brought back to school, he/she starts crying and the
bus gets delayed. Parents at the further bus stops start worrying.

10
BUS SERVICE
● Kindly reach 5 minutes early at the
designated bus stop.
● Please avoid delaying the buses
or requesting for change in the
bus stop.
● Please understand that it is
practically not possible to pick up
children from their doorstep.
● In case you need to pick up your
child personally, the school
must be informed through a phone
call before 11:00 am that day.

11
BUS SERVICE
● Shishukunj is the first owner of all buses. Not a single bus is
purchased second hand.
● No bus is older than 15 years.
● Assembly and prayer session of all drivers and conductors is held
EVERYDAY, whereby they are counseled and reminded of the
seriousness of their duty.
● Drivers are regularly reminded to keep the speed of the vehicle
within limits.

12

of the buses are in place as per government rules.

● Attitude and habits of the entire transport staff is monitored/

scrutinised.

● Dispersals are personally monitored by higher authorities.

● Dedicated teachers are present in various activity areas.
● The school timing for your ward for the months of April-June is 9 am
to 12 noon.

Jr. KG. This might upset him/her initially but soon they will make
friends. Kindly counsel them about the same.

14
IDENTITY CARD
● You must have received an identity card along with the school
Companion in the school bag.

● This identity card needs to be worn every day to school.

● We will not take the child on bus if he or she is not wearing the

FOOD AND NUTRITION
● If due to medical reasons or allergies, your child is not allowed to
consume a particular food item, please inform us through email.

specified food item.
● There is a long gap between the previous night's meal and lunch.
Thus, a substantial breakfast is necessary for the child. Some
children only drink a glass of milk for breakfast which is
insufficient and due to motion sickness, throw up during the bus
ride. Therefore, we request you to help your child take a substantial
breakfast.
● Please avoid sending any kinds of eatables or toys with your child on
